How project signals become an integration map before any agent is designed, connected, or launched.
Why this note exists.
Product ecosystems already contain workflow signals: orders, customers, tickets, dashboards, approvals, and exception paths. The work is to read those signals before designing an agent.
Observations
- A useful agent starts from workflow evidence, not from a prompt idea.
- System context shows where data, tools, people, and handoffs already live.
- Integration maps reveal which actions should be automated, suggested, or left to a human.
What we learned
- Map current workflow before choosing agent behavior.
- Keep source systems and approval owners visible.
- Use the map to decide whether the next step is blueprint, pilot, or custom development.
Useful artifact
- Workflow map or decision note
- Test case, approval log, or delivery handoff
- Reusable pattern for a future service path
